Please can you confirm that driving over a drain cover is a fail? Also when turning right out of your test centre, proceeding down the hill and turning right again, would it be a fail if pulling slightly over to the right keeping in one’s lane at all times, is this a fail? Surely these two incidents would not contribute to dangerous or uncontrolled driving. Obviously we respect your judgement, but I would like to highlight the unfriendly manner in which your examiner treated his student. We believe that Our son was more than ready for his test. Being an ex bike rider he has good road sense, and we believe that he is safe, conscientious and in full control of his vehicle. Surely these are the attributes required to become an even better driver with experience. Very disappointing that someone with a little power can use it so unfairly.

This should be no stars but you have to put something in the rating box. My son aged 23 is a calm and confident driver who only just failed his test at Camborne (the examiner was very complementary) But Bodmin?! Very rude when we arrived - 'go away until 10 mins before your test. You can't come in here before that' - Not a 'Welcome to the centre, please could you return later because we have limited parking.' Confusing instructions too - out to catch him out. Failed because he was told to carry on until the road signs told him otherwise. So when the road ended with a one way system (the other way) my son stopped. He was told he should have anticipated before that and asked which way to turn. Ridiculous and also biased to someone who knew the area which surely is not what a test is about? NEVER take a test there. We wasted a day of practicing in the area, all that petrol, and £60 on an appalling examiner.

I don’t want to give these examiners any stars I was waiting for my daughter to finish her third test her instructor had every confidence in her passing he actually said he could not teach her anything else she was good enough to pass he said in his opinion she should have passed before now. As I sat and waited I watched each learner return and out of at least 8 learners only 2 passed. My daughter failed her test again so we will now book for another area especially after reading that Bodmin has one of the lowest pass rates in the Uk. I would not recommend anyone take a test in Bodmin or the examiners need further training on what’s acceptable when using the road. I also feel that these examiners may have hidden agendas when failing so many students compared with other areas.

Don't do your test here, especially if you're a woman!! The driving examiner (Steve) was misogynistic, made sarcastic comments all the way through, and only offered to provide feedback to my partner, not me. Completely useless feedback, failed for a very subjective reason of "not looking around enough", and did not give clear directions. Passed my 2nd time at a different centre with a much nicer driving examiner that put me at ease. Good luck!

I failed my test. My examiner was very horrible and didn’t speak once in the car. He never asked me at the start of the test if I wanted my instructor in the car and neither did he get me to pull over at all during the test. My examiner said he would do this at least 3 times during the test.
