THE DRIVING TEST IN Lower Gornal

Lower Gornal Driving Test Centre is situated on the outskirts of the city of Birmingham and will involve many diverse roads. Urban driving is to include many roundabout types, crossroads and junctions. Residential areas are often used to test your ability at test manoeuvres and meeting oncoming vehicles in narrow spaces. See the passing parked cars tutorial for help.

As the Lower Gornal Driving Test Centre is located on the outskirts, rural roads are likely during the test. These road types tend to be hazardous due to highers speeds and sharp bends in the road.

The country road driving tutorial aims to help learners understand a safe speed for rural roads. One of the possible four manoeuvres will be requested with a 1-in-3 possibility of the emergency stop procedure. Approximately 10 minutes is required for independent driving.

Test routes are available for many of the UK practical driving test centres and may include Lower Gornal driving test routes. The routes aid test candidates in gaining an understanding of the various roads and systems that the examiner will take you on during your test. Routes can be viewed on this website or downloaded as an app.
