THE DRIVING TEST IN Folkestone

Folkestone Driving Test Centre is situated in busy town roads where the examiner will require you to demonstrate a sound knowledge of roundabouts, junctions and crossroads. Rural roads can often be difficult due to judging the correct speed around bends.

The country road driving tutorial offers advice on this. High speed ‘A’ roads such as the A259 being likely. A minimum of one driving test manoeuvre required and a 1 in 3 chance of the emergency stop procedure.

By browsing the Folkestone driving test routes section, you will gain a good understanding on the various road types and traffic systems that the examiner will take you on.

Gary is without doubt, missing a personality. His
reasoning to fail you is purely subjective. Any
right thinking individual with common sense would pass a person
where he fails you for reasons like “overly hesitant” when you are pulling out of a roundabout junction and the car from the right suddenly changes his mind and decides to exit out of the exit to my left so I have to wait. Gary calls it being hesitant. !! He needs a different job as from what I’ve been hearing it’s a face thing too

I had Ian, i had heard a few bad reviews about him and was dreading it. But i think if you havent passed you are going to have something bad to say. He was lovely. Made me feel comfortable, spoke to me, asked me about different things. Had a laugh here and there and was overall a very pleasant passenger in the car. I dont know why people are so hung up on him being such a bad examiner but he knows his stuff and just wants you to drive safely.

I had Ian and don't understand why he gets a bad rep. Everyone in Folkestone hopes you don't get him as your examiner but I found him to be polite and pleasant. But that's just my experience. Pleased to say that I passed

Ian is so rude and a terrible examiner. He needs to get the sack. Has no people skills and actually makes you feel so uncomfortable in the car with his weird behavior. He seems to get a power trip out of failng people too. Go to any other town to take a test to avoid this strange, rude, poor excuse of a man.

Unfortunately I must agree with previous feedbacks. Egzaminers are rude and not very approchable. Ian - no words how rude he is. It seems they get pleasure in knocking ppls confidence. Its interesting to observe their body language, even as they approach you before the egzam you can sense the ego and superiority feeling. This is not new and even driving instructors say that both Ian and Gary are not great.
