THE DRIVING TEST IN Hemel Hempstead

Upon leaving the retail park where Hemel Hempstead Driving Test Centre is located, you can expect a variety of roads and road systems. High speed roads, including dual carriageways such as the A41 are highly likely during the practical test. These will involve busy and large multi-lane roundabouts.

Other road types are likely to include rural country roads that will take you through the various villages situated outside of Hemel Hempstead. Within the town itself, examiners frequently take learners in and around residential areas. Such areas can be a challenge due to closed junctions and crossroads.

Such areas often feature mini roundabouts and are an ideal location for one of the possible four driving test manoeuvres. The emergency stop procedure must also be practiced and perfected as there is approximately a one-in-three chance of the driving examiner requesting this during your test.

The Hemel Hempstead driving test routes may be available to look at as a reference to the various types of roads that the examiner will take you on during the test.

Janice Brown, I had her at Pinner Test Centre, and yes she failed me! for a sign that was concealed.

 by Emily

After reading the reviews on the Hemel and St Albans test centres, it's astonishing and disgraceful that Jan Brown is still a driving examiner. If you were unfortunate to have had Jan as your driving examiner, my advice would be to make a complaint against her (you certainly won't be the first). Jan Brown is spiteful, vindictive and takes pleasure in other people's misery. Avoid the Hemel and St Albans test centres if you want you test to be examined fairly and honestly.

Avoid Jan brown, from the moment she got in my car she was rude and made no attempt to act in a professional manner. She ofcourse failed me too with little to no explanation. Something needs to be done.

 by DVSA Janice Brown

Avoid driving examiner Janice Brown. Lying and failing candidates to meet her pass/fail targets. Also make sure she doesn't touch the steering wheel.
