The instructor was at least 10 mins late, then told me we had to hurry so she wouldn't be late for next lesson! She didn't demonstrate the basic courtesy of saying ' your test is starting now', instead while walking to car park said 'read that plate' and when I read the car plate, she became very agitated said 'no the white car!" Then complained I hadn't left Lplates on car ( they were in car ready to put on) ALL this before we even got into the car! She asked me to do several what I would consider somewhat unsafe driving practices...or at least thoughtless to other drivers. Why cross over to other side of road facing the traffic on anything but a one way street or a reverse manoeuvre on a main road? Why tell me to pull over and stop, where it would cause a line of cars behind to wait? I realise these are standard part of the test, but her choice of where and when to do these weren't wise. She also did not give any feedback and when reading my results ( fail) saw what I know to be untrue.

RE Test conditions.-The makings on the road are very poor and worn. My partner and I noticed this driving into the town to do the test. I mentioned this to instructor, she declared 'same everywhere in this country'. It is the not the case in many many areas in the UK urban and country. I suggest doing tests at this centre where there are road markings aren worn off or have them fixed. Understand we must learn to drive in all conditions, but worn off marking added undue difficultly in a test situation. The attitude of examiners might be improved if monitored by on board cameras.
