BOOK A THEORY TEST AT Watford THEORY TEST CENTRE

All you will need to make a theory test booking is your provisional driving licence, all you’ll need a few details from this. You can book the theory test via one of the two methods detailed below. The Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) are responsible for managing all theory test bookings and Pearson Professional conduct the theory tests. Whilst making a booking, be sure to mention if you have any reading or hearing difficulties as help is available during the test.

Book a theory test by telephone
Booking a theory test can be made via the automated telephone line. You do not need to speak to anyone although there is an option to speak to a DVSA member of staff should you have any concerns or questions. Theory test bookings can be made in Watford by visiting the book a driving theory test section.

Book a theory test online
Booking a theory test via the internet is often the most popular due to the system displaying theory test time and date availability, allowing you to select a free slot. To book your theory test in Watford, see the book a driving theory test section for all DVSA theory test booking information.

RESCHEDULING OR CANCELLING THE THEORY TEST

You are entitled to reschedule the theory test for an alternative date and time, or cancel the test to receive a full refund. Please allow for a minimum of three working days notice (including Saturdays) for either of these to be possible.

AFTER YOU HAVE BOOKED YOUR TEST

After you have completed your theory test booking, you’ll receive an e-mail from the DVSA. Check your junk mail in case you didn’t receive it. This e-mail will confirm the theory test date appointment and provide you with a reference number. Although not essential to take to the theory test centre, it’s advisable to print this e-mail to show to the centre staff if any problems arise.

ATTENDING THE THEORY TEST

To aid in avoiding any issues on your arrival to Watford Theory Test Centre, bring along a printout of the confirmation e-mail you received from the DVSA. Please ensure you arrive at the test centre with your plastic photocard licence. The paper counterpart is no longer required. If you still retain the old style driving licence, this along with a suitable form of identification such as a valid passport must be taken. If you do not have a passport, you must apply for a new-style driving licence and take this with you.

Unless such items are taken, Watford Theory Test Centre will be unable to conduct the test and you will lose your theory test booking fee. If you have misplaced your licence, contact the DVLA who will send you a replacement. See the learning to drive section for information on obtaining a new licence. Late arrivals to Watford Theory Test Centre who miss the allotted time slot will be unable to sit the theory test and will also lose the booking test fee.

My niece went for her theory test today. As you can imagine, going into a new, unfamiliar building she didn't know where she was going. Instead of a friendly smile and directions, she was shouted at by rude staff. How could she have known where to go if there are no signs and unhelpful staff? I imagine these amazing people would know their way around a building for the first time ?This was already an anxious day for her, made worse by the disgusting behaviour of a so-called adult. This person must get a power trip for treating a young adult in such a way. Thank you for traumatising her, i really hope someone treats you and your family in the same way.
If you don't like the job, then leave or take a course on customer service and dealing with the public, better still treat the people who come into the test centre as human beings and not something you have trodden in. You should be ashamed of your behaviour. #bekind didn't last long did it?
Made me laugh, check this box to confirm you are human! Can we ask the same rom the staff?

Very rude miserable staff, no cursor during the hazard section. They said my friend(who is disabled) was not allowed to wait inside the centre even though it was empty meaning he had to wait outside in hot weather by himself really not impressed. travelled an hour to get there as well.

Had a great experience, from when I initially entered the building when I met the security guard who gave me the directions and celebrated with me, when I told him my result. The people upstairs were pleasant and their service was quick.

Very disappointed with the customer service arrived 2 minutes late to when my test starts, I could't locate the test center since there was no sense of direction. The person at the desk was very rude and told me you are 18 min late even though my test started just 2 minutes ago. Even though there was space, he told me there was no space.
