Had my first Cat C test there. I got the vibe my examiner didnt like me from the word go. My test went on for an hour and fifty minutes, it went on until the point where something happened in front of me and i had to slam on. Examiner started being a drama queen and pretended he was hurt, yet he miraculously recovered when i turned and asked him if he was ok without putting handbrake on. That was a fail as i could have crushed someone behind me. Id had a feeling at the hour and half mark he was driving me round and round until id clocked up enough minors for him to fail me on. Hed taken me through the same set of roudworks about 9 times.
Spent months trying to book a retest in other parts of the country so i didnt get same examiner. No company would do a retest. Had to go back to same place and got the same examiner the 2nd time. My heart sank as soon as i saw him. Accepted id failed before we drove out of the gate. I failed my retest.
£2500 in debt so far, im not going back for more and putting myself through it again. Will look at doing sometbing else for a living instead.
Took my class 1 last week unfortunatly failed but i felt that the examiner but me at ease straight away and gave me good feedback at the end of the test.
like i said i didnt get the result i wanted but will take his comments on board and hopefully get the correct outcome next week
2nov 2021 this was my second test at Walton.that went really well after reading all the bad comments on how bad a few people tests went that did worried me a little .but I was meet by a lovely examiner that explained all to me before we set off and done the show and tell me .not all is as bad as I thought I did use my own car think that's help taken the stress off ,but the examiner was how I expected them to be good intentions clearly explained .thank you for a pleasant experience.
Went for my driving test cat c at walton aftet doing 3 days wirth of lessons. Was told on day 2 of lessons that i was already driving at test standard so 3rd morning was just driving around waiting for test. Wasnt nervous and wasnt big headed either. Arrived at the most outdated and grotty mucky test centre to be greated by the examiner, from the start i could tell he wasnt keen on me. Went and did my show me tell me questions which seemed to go well. Driving out of test centre i didn't know which lane to get in as there are two lanes that say exit and got told to get in the right lane as the left lane is the old exit lane so why still have the road markings there, then drove onto the industrial state which went well. Then was taken into weatherby town centre right on School leaving time so i had kids running between cars, cars pulling out ony car doors been opened infront of the truck but drove carefully right through weatherby down to a mini roundabout and the traffic coming from my right was none stop coming from the school and i had no way out. Was at the roundabout for about 30 seconds then I was then told really snotty im not staying here all day you will just have to pull out and go regardless of whats coming which i did but wasnt happy about been told to cut cars up. Then everything seemed fine again for a while then i was approaching the A1 on a roundabout and was in lane two on the roundabout going round it and a car was undertaking me on the left so couldn't get into the left lane so i eased off let the car go the moved into lane a little late but safely. Was then told on a country lane to stop of the left when it was safe to do so and planned to pull over next to a tree but as stuck behind two people on bikes so couldn't drive round then and then stop so waiting behind them as i was alway told never cut anyone up and that goes for push bikes as well. He then said to stop infront of a farm gate, so i stopped but knew i should of stopped there as i was blocking a farmers gate and a driveway on the other side of the road. I then drove back to the test centre and was told i had failed due to the A1 roundabout apparently if a car is on your left hand side undertaking you you should cut them up or push them off the road not ease off the accelerator and then continue into kane when its safe. When i questioned this the examiner got really rude and said you hit a kerb too but couldn't tell me where and lets face it you hit a kerb or clip a kerb you know you have hit it as the back end bangs and jumps. The examiner then jumped out of the cab and walked off. Ive got had a fail sheet of email with the fails on or anything i dont know how many minors i got or anything. I think the examiner's need some training in the highway code and customer service. Unfortunately ive got another test at this test centre in a few months time. Lets hope i dont get the same Mr Happy. I believe that i had failed before getting to the cab of the truck as i could tell that he didnt want to be there on a friday afternoon.
Which i had book my second test at a different location. Surely this isnt up to the DVSA standards. If ive done wrong ill happily except ive done wrong and ill make sure to learn from my mistakes but wasnt even given a proper de brief.
