Greenham Driving Test Centre offers vocational driving tests for lorries (LGV), motorcycles and cars with trailers. The test centre is situated around rural roads where bends may be difficult to navigate due to oncoming vehicles. Situated near Newbury, busy town roads are likely to feature on the driving test.

Small village roads may have narrow and difficult areas which is a common area to fail driving test. Higher speed ‘A’ roads are also present. The Greenham driving test routes can be challenging due to the high speed country lanes and roads leading into the various villages on the test routes.

The Greenham driving test routes may alter slightly during the practical but will generally detail the various routes that the examiner will take you on.

If your driving test centre is located in a busy area, it may be of benefit to book your driving test in between the times of 10am and 4pm. This way you will miss out on rush hour traffic that can be problematic for learner drivers. Alternatively, some driving test centres offer test bookings on Saturdays. Driving test fees at the weekend are increased. Driving tests cannot be booked through the test centres directly. To book a driving test, there are 2 options; by phone or online.

Book a driving test by phone
The DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) automated telephone number allows for a practical test to be booked at Greenham from the selected free slots available. Contact and booking telephone numbers can be located within the book a driving test section. If you wish to speak to an adviser, listen to the options provided in the recorded message.

Book your driving test online
Driving test internet bookings are often the preferred option due to the free slot availability being displayed to the test candidates. See the book a driving test section for booking a practical driving test at Greenham.

I failed 2 times with " the black guy" . At least have a bit of respect and remember his name . His name is Mr Sam and he is absolutely brilliant.
I failed 2 times because of my mistakes; stop blaming the examiners . I drive busses for a living and the idea of having incompetent drivers is very scary.
Prepare for the exam and you will be fine; none of the examiners ,especially Mr Sam , wants to fail you. If you fail, you did something wrong and you shouldn't be on the road. Good facilities, kind examiners and overall a pleasant experience ( i say this even if i failed twice) . He actually took the time and spoke with my instructor and gave him advice on what to prepare me better next time!!
