Change Theory Test Date
All theory tests are run by Pearsons Professional and bookings managed via the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
Although there usually isn’t too long to wait for a theory test booking, occasionally there may be longer waiting times than usual.
By frequently checking the availability of earlier theory test dates, a short notice test may become available and you will be able to swap your current theory test time and date for an earlier one.

HOW TO CHANGE THEORY TEST DATE
You can change a theory test date booking from any UK theory test centre by using the information on this page. You cannot change a theory test date, time or test centre by contacting test centres directly.
How much notice to change theory test
Three working days’ notice including Saturdays is required to change a theory test date and time. Sundays and public holidays don’t count as working days. If you are not able to provide sufficient notice, you will need to cancel the theory test and lose the test fee and then re book it.
Change theory test date and time online
To change the theory test booking date, time or test centre, you will need your provisional driving licence number at hand. You will also need to ensure that 3 clear working days’ notice is provided. Change theory test date or time by phone
If any issues are experienced whilst changing your theory test date or time online, you can also change the theory test date by telephone. Ensure you have your provisional driving licence number at hand and that you have provided a minimum of 3 clear working days’ notice. Sundays and public holidays don’t count as working days.
