I had my driving theory test today (22/06/17) at 2pm (with Plymouth Pearson Professional Theory Test Centre) and although the test itself went well and most of the staff were respectful, I had a surprising and upsetting encounter with the employee behind the desk (a large man with glasses). After asking my postcode and enquiring as to why it was not a Plymouth postcode, I explained that I was a Plymouth University student. As soon as I mentioned this, the employee quickly began insulting students (expressing his disgust with students and his dislike for the recent election result of labour in this constituency, blaming it on students) to my face, causing direct offence to myself, whilst numerous other members of the public were present in the waiting room. I found this to be very off-putting considering I was about to take my test, as well as being considerably rude, inappropriate and unprofessional.
