THE DRIVING TEST IN Lichfield

The driving test from Lichfield Driving Test Centre will include many varied road types and traffic systems. Expected is busy town roads to include roundabouts, mini roundabouts, crossroads and junctions. Residential roads that can often be narrow and hazardous due to width constraints with oncoming vehicles and parked cars.

The passing parked cars tutorial helps to deal with this. High speed ‘A’ roads and dual carriageways such as the A5148 are frequently required as are rural roads. Rural roads can be difficult for novice drivers, often due to gaining an understanding of a safe and appropriate speed for the corners.

The country road driving tutorial helps with this. Expect one test manoeuvre and a 1-in-3 possibility of the emergency stop procedure being requested.

Test routes are available for many of the test centres and may include Lichfield driving test routes. Following the test routes allows test candidates with an insight into the difficult areas that examiner take learners on the test routes.
