THE DRIVING TEST IN Lincoln

A wide variety of road types can be expected during the driving test from Lincoln Driving Test Centre. The test centre is located near high speed ‘A roads’ such as the A46 and rural roads, both likely to feature on the test.

Country roads represent their own unique hazards often due to a novice drivers trying to establish a safe speed for corners. Traffic systems to include roundabouts and junctions of various types, crossroads and one-way-systems. The test will include one test manoeuvre and a 1-in-3 possibility of the emergency stop procedure being requested. The examiner reserve approximately 10 minutes for independent driving.




Test routes are available for many of the test centres and may include Lincoln driving test routes. Gaining an understanding of the test routes will allow you to see the various difficult parts of the routes that examiner take test candidates on.

Rescheduling or cancelling the driving test
Driving Tests can be rescheduled or cancelled. Changing your driving test date can be done providing three working days’ notice is given. To cancel your test and receive a full refund from DVSA bookings, three working days’ notice must also be provided. Saturdays are also classed as a working day.
