Liverpool Driving Test Centres

There are four practical driving test centres within the Liverpool, Merseyside area. The driving tests at the Liverpool Driving Test Centres will incorporate a wide variety of roads and traffic systems, some areas being particularly difficult.

Examiners from the test centres include as many diverse roads and systems as possible. Busy urban roads will be used to test your ability at traffic systems such as roundabouts, both mini and multi lane, junctions and crossroads. Residential areas in Liverpool may contain narrow streets and roads, These roads are ideal for the examiner to test your ability at dealing with approaching vehicles on narrow lanes. Typically such roads have parked cars. See the passing parked cars tutorial for further advice.

These road types are commonly used for test manoeuvres. High speed dual carriageways are frequently taken during the test. Liverpool’s Garston Driving Test Centre may use the A561 and Norris Green Driving Test Centre close to Liverpool may use the A580. Rural roads may feature from the Liverpool test centres. These roads are often hazardous to learner drivers due to high speed and corners that are difficult to negotiate.

The country road driving tutorial helps novice drivers to understand a safe and appropriate speed on such roads. The driving test from any of the Liverpool Driving Test Centres will include one of the possible four manoeuvres and a possibility of the emergency stop procedure being 1-in-3. Driving the driving test, the examiner will set aside approximately 10 minutes for independent driving.

I took my exam 3/01/2022. Had about 40hrs with my instructor - well prepared for the exam.
Steve was my examiner (friendly but very strict), few of my friends failed with Steve. If you're well prepared Steve will do his best to show you that you aren't ready yet. The whole route went well, it was quite quiet (Bank Holiday). I was failed for an Appropriate speed - too slow. I never drive too slow as my instructor was saying if it's 30 go at least 29 or ideally 30 (if it's safe) ect. So yeah, first attempt and failed for an Appropriate speed. :/

What an awful woman examiner. Intent on failing candidates. I pity anyone who ends up with this one.

Rude behaviour of lady test officier , try to do their best to fail u specially lady officier there. Interfering during test without any reason so that can fail the candidate.
